    So sorry Jan, black only for now. But the manufacturer knows that there are white iPhones out there, so he replied to take your question seriously. Normally that means: if enough customers ask for it, he will produce it :)

    excellent idea btw! the short batterylife is one of the worst characteristics of the 3G (amongst many others, unfortunately)

    How does this one compare to the one sold by Kensington? Yours is 1650 and theres is 2250. Why do you say yours is the highest capacity battery on the market?

    Hi James,

    We position the 3GJUICE as the strongest clip on battery on the market. The Kensington is good, go buy it. But keep in mind that it's only 1800 mAh and not 2250 as you wrote. See also:

    I consider the Kensington big and bulky: it has a connector that is big as the 3G JUICE AND has a plastic black box to power the connector...

    Here's the text I mean:

    I’m always in a quest for battery juice because I travel a lot. Yes, I’m that pathetic person that bought a heavy block of metal so I can work for 9 hours on my Macbook Air. For even smaller devices I bought the Philips Power 2 Go, a piece of plastic (PDF, 256 Kb) that kept my iPhone 1.1.4 alive.

    I got tired of loosing cables and have stuff with me that's 5x heavier then the phone I use it for. So that's why I developed the 3G JUICE.

    How long with the 3GJuice stay charged up after a full charge? For instance, if I leave it in the car, how long can I expect it to serve as an effective back-up for my iPhone 3G?

    Unlike other products where power loss occurs when the backup battery is not used for several days or weeks, we have managed to make true shutdown in the circuits. It means that our backup battery can hold power for months if it is not used. If you don't use it for a full year, about 70% juice is still in it.

    This battery is probably the best one out of all the external batteries for the iPhone 3G out at this time. It's got the capacity, the size, and design. I opt for a battery that does not have the form-fitting curved edges, as some of the other companies try to do, because I use my iPhone with a case.


    Other suggestions for the next version:

    1. Power remaining indicator

    2. Bottom Apple connector (so we don't have to carry around a mini USB charge cable to charge the battery, we can use our Apple cable or desktop dock)

    3. Audio ducts for speakerphone and microphone built into the battery to enhance volume and clarity when talking with the battery connected

    4. Mechanical clip on connector. One of my cheap charge/sync cables has a mechanical connector to the iPhone 3G which does not come off without depressing the side clips inward first. Could something like this be implemented in the next version so that people won't have to worry about the battery falling out when using it?

    Dear Jae,

    Thanks for your great input. For the first versions of the 3G JUICE we concentrated on power and stability and the beste energy capacity. We're almost done with that: the next version will be able to power a dead iPhone (0%) to 100% energy, has a energy efficiency of 85% (leave the battery in your glove department for months and it's still fresh) and has the best stability with 2A IC and not 1A IC as almost every other vendor has.

    Phase 2 is to get a model with all kind of extra's, most of them described by you. Would love to see that mechanical clip, feel free to send a photo to support@3gjuice.com.

    Hello,

    I really like this device.

    1) Are the speakers of the iphone covered/muted when the juice pack is attached?

    2) How secure is the battery when attached...do I have to worry about the battery falling off while I'm talking on the phone?

    3) I'm in the US, if I ordered through Amazon now would I get the newest version and what would be the approximate arrival to me in Chicago, IL.

    1. No. The only thing you will cover with the 3GJUICE are your energy needs, not your speaker :)
    2. The 3GJUICE is a device that you only use for 2,5-3 hrs. After that, your iPhone is loaded for 100%, so you don't need it anymore. If you need to call exactly in those 2,5-3 hrs (with the 3G JUice attached), put your phone in your hand palm (as you would normally do). If you only hold the 3G JUICE, nothing bad will happen, but if you start running at the same time, it's like a candle on a plate. It will fall off.
    3. We are Pro Merchant in Amazon. You will get the NEW version at the end of September. We'll dispatch it right from the stores of Amazon through Fedex.

    Thanks for the swift reply. This one looks like the winner (for me).

    Here's what I'm looking for in an external battery:

    1) Compact in size

    2) Can attach directly to the iphone without use of cables

    3) Can be attached and charge the Iphone while in use

    4) Can be attached without removing my revo2 silicon case

    5) Can recharge a depleted battery to 100%. I really did not want a battery that charged the phone only up to 50% (from drained) or even 70%, as the iphone seems to go from 50% to 0 faster than it goes from 100% to 50%.

    6) Can hold a charge for long periods of time when not in use

    After much reserach, the 3gjuice is the only current option that can do all of the above.

    Currently the first batch of the new version will be produced around September 23th. Transportation to your home can be done in 5 days if you live in the USA or The Netherlands. I can't give you a 100% guarantee because I don't control the courier...

    Woohoo. I got it right on time! I am going to Berlin this weekend and now I don't have to be afraid my battery gets empty :D. I am so happy that I got it on time. Thanx!! Is there a manual for this device. I am now charging it ( on my computeR) but how do I know if it's fully charged? The led is now red so when it is full it will turn green? For the rest thank you big time

    It's quite basic... when the red light is OFF, you're battery is full. When you attach it, it's green. When green is OFF, battery is drained. Reloading results in RED light again. When reloading is done, red light goes OFF. Well, you get the picture... Manual is on http://www.3gjuice.com/support

    Ik wou het eerst in het engels doen maar dan kan ik het niet helemaal goed uitleggen.
    De dop van de 3G juice zit er heel los op dus in mijn tas of jaszak zou de dop er snel af vallen.
    Door middel van een elastiekje blijft de dop er op zitten. Ik weet niet of dat normaal is? Ik ga em niet retourneren want heb em dit weekend nodig :D. Voor de rest tevreden :D.

    That's so funny Daniel., The first version had a cap that was too tight according to some users. So we loosened them on purpose.

    Fantastic service, arrived in Israel within a week of placing the order.

    Why does the 3G juice battery seem to be exactly the same as the iPWR battery sold by wirelessinput.com? Same specs, same lights, same on/off switch, same dimensions and weight, same mini USB cable, even same price, including shipping!. As far as I can see, there's just different logos. Did your manufacturer make another battery or is this just a massive coincidence? I started off by searching for a small powerful battery and narrowed it down to these two! Only they seem exactly the same, so now I'm really curious about this!

    How do I charge the Battery. Is the light supposed to be on or off. I have it plugged into my computer with the switch on OFF. Is this correct? How long should it charge? How do I know when it is fully charged? Were can I find directions?

    Dear Ted,
    Welcom to Sparta. We have a very simple system to tell you what is
    happening. If you charge the battery, and it's not full, the light turns
    red. When done, the light turns green. If you use the battery for the
    iPhone, the green light will stay on till the energy is gone.

    Directions: www.3gjuice.com/support (it is printed on the backside of the
    box)

    OFF= good for recharging (although it won't explode if you put it on ON by
    accident during loading)

    It takes about 4-5 hrs to charge.

    The 3GJUICE De Luxe doesn't work with the 3GS because Apple changed specs.
    It does work with the MAJOR MOJO.
